Join Oakland University and Great Lakes JETAA for a special talk on ‘Japan-American Relations and Recruiting and Retaining Talent’ by Honorable Consul General Yusuke Shindo.  The Consul General is a recognized speaker on U.S. and Japanese relations and culture, and his primary role as a career diplomat is to promote Japanese trade and investment as well as highlight cultural exchanges in the region, including educational programs.

The Career Networking Event, previously known as the GLJETAA Job Fair, will be held immediately following the lecture.  We encourage you to bring a resume.

Meet recruiters and representatives from companies – such as Activ8, Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce, Daifuku America, Dowa THT, Fanuc America, Fifth Third Bank, Hirotec, Kobelco, Meiden, Pasona, Quick USA, Rediscover Tours, THK – and network with peers.

Talk with GLJETAA about The Japan Exchange Teaching Program. Take a pamphlet, some swag, chat about Japan, and ask questions.

Learn about Oakland University’s Study Abroad programs. Ask your questions about studying in Japan.

JSD Women’s Club will join us to provide attendees with the opportunity to try their hand at shodo (Japanese calligraphy). Grab a brush and try writing Japanese kanji!
